Resumo

O surgimento do livro digital trouxe uma série de transformações que tornaram o sistema editorial mais complexo, afetando todos os elos de sua cadeia. Com mudanças na produção, reprodução e consumo do livro, o fluxo de trabalho também se altera. Diante disso, torna-se evidente a necessidade de identificar os processos no fluxo editorial de modo a torná-los explícitos e delineá-los, contribuindo para a formulação de um novo paradigma no projeto do livro digital. Assim, este estudo tem por objetivo mapear os processos envolvidos no fluxo editorial do livro digital, além de identificar os conhecimentos e agentes ali presentes. Para tal, executou-se um levantamento de campo (survey) com duas empresas que atuam na produção de livros digitais. Com base nos resultados obtidos, observou-se que os fluxos adotados são simples e que ambas empresas não são responsáveis pelo fluxo completo ao se considerar a complexidade de um projeto de livro digital.

Abstract

The emergence of e-books brought a set of transformations that made the editorial system more complex, affecting all links in its chain. With changes in the production, reproduction and consumption of the book, the workflow also changes. Given this, the need to identify the processes in the editorial flow becomes evident in order to make them explicit and delineate them, contributing to the formulation of a new paradigm in digital book design. Thus, this study aims to map the processes involved in the e-book editorial flow and also identify the knowledge and performers that are involved there. For that, a survey was carried out with two companies that operate in the production of e-books. Based on the results obtained, it was observed that the editorial flows adopted are simple and that both companies are not responsible for the complete flow when considering the complexity of an e-book project.
