Resumo

O artigo é um relato de pesquisa que aborda o desenvolvimento de protótipos táteis realizados a partir de imagens fotográficas e pictóricas, para a acessibilidade de pessoas cegas e/ou com baixa visão. Funda-se na experiência pessoal de uma das autoras que, em suas vivências como estudante de Artes Visuais e pessoa cega, identificou, durante as aulas, possibilidades de compreender e construir o trabalho artístico por meio do tato, o que lhe permitiu explorar novas formas de acesso às imagens. A metodologia privilegiou pesquisa bibliográfica e experimentações práticas que culminaram na produção de protótipos. O processo apontou desdobramentos possíveis em produção e fruição artística, em especial, para artistas cegos e/ou com baixa visão.

Abstract

This article reports research that deals with the development of tactile prototypes that were made from photographic and pictorial images aiming at the accessibility for blind and low- sighted people. It is rooted in the personal experience of one of the authors who, in her living as a visual arts student and blind person, identified during the classes possibilities of understanding and building the artistic work through touch, which allowed her to explore new ways of accessing images. The methodology favored bibliographical research and practical experiments that culminated in the production of prototypes. The process pointed out possible developments in artistic production and enjoyment, especially for the blind and/or low-sighted artists.
