Resumo
Os precedentes arquitetônicos são fontes de investigação e inspiração na área da arquitetura, estudados com o auxílio de sistemas de representação que facilitam a interpretação e compreensão de seus diversos aspectos. Cada tipo de representação pode descrever edifícios de maneira mais abstrata ou concreta, influenciando a compreensão desses aspectos. O objetivo deste artigo é analisar as potencialidades dos sistemas de representação no estudo de precedentes arquitetônicos, destacando suas contribuições para a interpretação projetual, a análise crítica e a ampliação do repertório arquitetônico. Com base em uma Revisão Sistemática da Literatura (RSL) de publicações das últimas duas décadas, no portal Periódicos CAPES e em outras bases de dados relevantes, busca-se explorar como esses sistemas podem enriquecer o ensino de projeto ao integrar aspectos técnicos, compositivos e históricos. Os resultados revelam que a principal contribuição dos sistemas de representação é facilitar a aquisição de conhecimento arquitetônico a partir dos precedentes estudados. Além disso, mostram que o estudo de precedentes com o apoio ou a produção de sistemas de representação torna o ensino de projeto de arquitetura mais significativo e atrativo, promovendo o pensamento analítico, crítico e reflexivo, levando a novas descobertas e à formação de um repertório arquitetônico pessoal. Ao final, espera-se identificar claramente as contribuições desses sistemas para esse campo.

Abstract
Architectural precedents are sources of research and inspiration in the field of architecture, studied with the support of representation systems that facilitate the interpretation and understanding of their various aspects. Each type of representation can describe buildings in a more abstract or concrete manner, influencing the understanding of these aspects. The objective of this article is to analyze the potential of representation systems in the study of architectural precedents, highlighting their contributions to project interpretation, critical analysis, and the expansion of architectural repertoire. Based on a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of publications from the last two decades, accessed through the Periódicos CAPES portal and other relevant databases, this study seeks to explore how these systems can enhance architectural design education by integrating technical, compositional, and historical aspects. The results reveal that the primary contribution of representation systems is to facilitate the acquisition of architectural knowledge from the studied precedents. Furthermore, they show that studying precedents with the support or production of representation systems makes architectural design education more meaningful and engaging, promoting analytical, critical, and reflective thinking, leading to new discoveries and the development of a personal architectural repertoire. Finally, the article aims to clearly identify the contributions of these systems to this field.
